X’manikté means ''always alive'' and it refers to the eternal. Is one of the most ancient embroidery techniques in Yucatán, possibly pre hispanic that, paradoxical to its name, it is in danger of extinction.
This body of work is just one part of the project that explored women in different communities, -such as Maní and Teabo in Yucatán- that practice embroidery in their everyday life, part of their identity.
